Our Purpose

 

Taking cost control to the next level.

 

It starts with an analysis of pharmacy proposals that is free from bias or persuasion.  This analysis is formulated specifically to your facility's utilization for an accurate determination in which pricing proposal is the best financial fit.  Then we use our years of experience to negotiate the best price from the provider. We can help you with the negotiations or manage the process for you.

 

Our work isn't over then, we continue to offer our expertise in cost reduction.  We look at the invoices moving forward.  When we find pricing errors we follow up with the pharmacy and track the pending credit to ensure it is properly handled.

 

We follow up directly with the Administrators, Business Office Managers, and Directors of Nursing Services on initiatives to lower pharmacy costs.  As staff changes we review and teach new comers on initiatives and protocols so the facility continues to benefit from the cost saving protocols.

 

We represent the nursing home and facilitate the implementation of cost saving protocols with the pharmacy.  Many times programs may be available from the pharmacy, but they lack the cooperation from the facility to maximize savings opportunities.  

Our Founder

Meet Dan Almblade: 

 

He started his career as a pharmacist in a retail pharmacy that serviced the local long term care facilities.  It was here he learned that service must be extraordinaire and pricing must be accurate and fair.  Understanding this, Dan flourished as a LTC pharmacy provider and consultant.  Over the years his experience grew and opportunities presented themselves.  Dan has been a Director of Operations for local, regional, and national pharmacy groups that primarily serviced the LTC industry.  Additionally, having spent two terms on the state Board of Examiners for Nursing Home Administrators was helpful in providing an insight into the inner workings of LTC facilities.  During that period he noticed some facilities lacked the proper tools and insider knowledge to effectively evaluate pharmacy proposals and negotiate contracts.  He also noticed that many facilities failed to implement simple cost reductions strategies.

 

In 2004 Pharmacy Resource Group, LLC was established to fill this niche.  Since then Dan has crossed over to the other side of the table and represented the LTC facilities.  He has helped small and nationwide LTC groups with their pharmacy services.  Currently Pharmacy Resource Group, LLC helps negotiate pharmacy services, reviews invoices for accuracy, helps collect for over billing, and helps initiate cost cutting steps at both the facility and local pharmacy level.
